Veranda
The doors opening out on the veranda of the
south gallery which overlooks the Jade Basin and
a group of Thai wooden houses called Ruen Ton.

Main Dining Room
The royal banquet room on the third floor.

Study
This room on the third floor is furnished as a study.
H.M. King Rama V's writing desk dominates the room
whose walls are lined with bookcases.

The Chinese Room
The 'Chinese Room' on the third floor

Throne Room
The third floor loggia was originally used in the early days of Vimanmek
as a throne room but later became the living quarters of H.M. King Rama V
whose portrait is seen in the center.

King Rama V's Piano
In the center of the second floor loggia stands
H.M. King Rama V's hand-carved grand piano.
The Royal Seal of State is carved into its right side.

There are many more rooms inside Vimanmek Mansion. Each room is decorated as it was during the reign of H.M. King Rama V. Pictures cannot show the remarkable beauty and feeling one gets when touring the mansion. A personal visit is a must when in Bangkok.
